Find the category that you would like to post your product or service under. If you can't find a category that is appropriate for your product or service, please drop me an e-mail: casey@santafeconnections.com and let me know what it is you need. I can either create a new, specific category or a sub-category that will make it easier for people to find you.
You can post as often as you like (no duplicate postings – 1 st one must first be deleted) and you can post under different categories. There is a 300 character maximum. If you have a website that you would like to reference, you can do so outside the body of the ad. This becomes a click able link outside the body of the ad and does not go towards your 300 character limit. Please include the complete url in the format: http://www.mywebsite.com (putting your website name in the place of mywebsite).
You can post your ad in plain text or in html. I advise that if you want to use html, unless you are a veteran at coding, work it out in a graphical html editor like Dreamweaver or any of the many html programs made for simple web page authoring. With html, you can add bold, italics and larger fonts as well as links within the ad. Once you have it the way you want it, copy the source code and paste it into the ad.
If you are posting to a popular category, your classified ad will eventually scroll down the page to where it no longer gets the attention you would like. You can go to your category, find your ad, delete it and then post it again or you can purchase an extended ad. An extended ad will stay in the extended ad section at the top of the category where it will have a much better chance of being seen. Just like in the search engines, the top ads get the most attention. It is estimated that Extended Ads in the Top Section get 5 to 10 times the response of regular ads.
Searching
You can do a keyword search immediately upon arrival at santafeconnections.com FREE Classified site by scrolling down directly under the category listings and entering the keyword or phrase that you are looking for. You can input multiple words or phrases as long as you separate them by a comma. Generally, one keyword or keywords separated by commas will do the job. Being too specific with the use of a phrase may not exactly match the way that the person posting the ad for what you are looking for phrased his or her ad.
Automatic Notification
If you were unable to find what you are looking for, simply put your keyword(s) or phrase(s) in the form at the bottom of the page. Put in your full name and e-mail address and you will be notified every time an ad is posted that matches. You can even specify for how long you would like to have this feature enabled. Try getting that kind of service from a print classified! (and did I mention that it's FREE!)
